The Match-up

This is the match up that (on paper) we should see as the decider for top place in group B! Since the roster change of EnVyUs, these two have not met in a official match. Although they did play each other once during EnVy’s days with shox and SmithZz (16:12 at dust2 and 16:13 at cache – both victories for boys in blue), that should not be counted as adequate source of information. Although we have no real data to speculate around, I think that this match-up does not need any as Frenchmen are far more experienced and individually skilled (overall) than team Kinguin, plus, they have a great mastermind in form of Happy behind them when Kinguin have nobody! In my opinion – Kinguin do not match up very well against EnVyUs. Their PUG-ish play-style will be countered heavily here!

Prediction:  Look at this one from any perspective you want, I don’t think that EnVyUs is a nut that Kinguin can crack, at least not now! Of course we might see some resistance from ScreaM and co, but let’s be real – Kinguin are outnumbered in every aspect of the game as the roster of Frenchmen gathers few of the worlds best players in their respective areas.

Suggestion:  Unless Kinguin demolish Brazilians in their opener, don’t even consider hopping on that hype-train in this one. If you are not willing to risk your skins/money on the odds offered, just skip the bet!

The Match-up

This is the second match up that we could likely see as the decider of who places 1st in group B. Despite Luminosity and EnVyUs attending several LAN tournaments in the past together, they have not yet played each other in a official game. Even so, if Luminosity do upset Kinguin in their opener, their chances against the Frenchman are very slim. The only thing playing in favor of Brazilians here would be their calm and collected approach to every single round, whereas Frenchman have more of a “bulldozer” kind of play-style – go in and demolish everyone and everything on their way. The boys in blue should be motivated enough to not let this opportunity slide through, as winning this game would secure them at least a Top 8 finish at another Major!

Prediction: As mentioned before – I think that Happy and his colleagues will not let this opportunity by them and they will seal the deal right here, right now! Although, I do think that Luminosity’s tactical approach to the game matches up better versus EnVyUs than Kinguin’s PUG style of play, I still consider the play-style of Frenchmen way too versatile to crack over lost round or two.

Suggestion: Unless Luminosity demolish Kinguin in their opener and show some spectacular tactical maneuvers, don’t even consider wasting your skins or money betting on Luminosity. If you are not willing to risk your skins/money on the odds offered, just skip the bet!

The Match-up

As there is little to no chance that FlipSid3 could upset EnVyUs, we will most likely not see this match-up today, but – all things considered, we’re covering it anyways. These two teams have met each other two times at Gaming Paradise Inhouse Qualifier and both times Kinguin were the ones that came out on top. During the upper bracket final, FlipSid3 started promising with taking the first map (cache) with a 16:12 scoreline, but failed to seal the deal for the grand finals after that losing two straight maps – 13:16 mirage and 22:25 train. After that, they met each other once again in the Grand Final of the qualifier where Kinguin had a 1:0 advantage due to coming from the upper bracket. This time around, Kinguin had FlipSid3 all figured out and the Grand Final was as anti-climatic as it could be (4:16 at inferno and 8:16 at cache for Kinguin). Although both of these matches were played during FlipSid3’s time with s1mple (now they don’t have so much firepower as before) and Kinguin’s time without dennis (Kinguin had NiKo as stand in during the event), I still feel like at this point of time Kinguin have the upper hand over CIS team.

Prediction: This would be Kinguin’s best opportunity to prove that they are a potential top tier team, and with a guaranteed Top 8 finish, they would secure themselves as “Legends” and be rewarded with a slot at the next Major! Do you need any more motivation than that? Although, FlipSid3 would obviously be rewarded with the same title/slot, unfortunately for them, they are not in the drivers seat for this one. As Kinguin have showed that they clearly know how to counter bondik and his colleagues, I have no doubt that if this match up happens, Kinguin would come out as the victors here!

Suggestion: Although, in order for this match up to happen, FlipSid3 would come out victorious against EnVyUs, you should still look at the individual match up of both these teams as they do share a history together. Plus, use your observational skills – maybe it wasn’t FlipSid3 that won the game versus EnVyUs, but EnVyUs that lost it for themselves!

The Match-up

So this is the match-up that is least likely to happen during Day 1 of Group B, but all things considered we should still cover it if it comes down to these two! So Luminosity and FlipSid3 have met each other only once during the ESWC where FlipSid3 came out victorious in a 16:13 thriller at cobblestone. Although, both teams have the difference of one player in their rosters since the last game together, I feel like this is the way we should expect this game to be played out this time also (close game).

Prediction: This time around, I would be giving edge to FlipSid3 in this match up, just because A – they have won Brazilians in the past, so they have a decent knowledge of what to expect from Luminosity; and B – FlipSid3 upsetting EnVyUs is a much bigger accomplishment than Luminosity winning Kinguin, and for this match-up that should surely be counted as a factor to determine the favorite.

Suggestion: This one is a very tricky match-up. If we do get to see it, don’t bet big or even medium, just go small on the side that you like better, as this one can still go either way!

Don’t bet what you can’t afford to lose! Good luck with your bets!
